The new series of works is characterized by a return to physicality,
as opposed to the virtual world of the contemporary world
with its excesses and abuses.
An internal need therefore to reconnect to a primordial root,
to the very essence of existence, to the immediacy of the senses
and to the energetic value of the elements.
An expressive rather than illustrative intent, through mixed techniques that go
from material to watercolor, up to the pure line of the drawing.
A gesture that recalls the Italian Informal, a primitivist chromatic symbolism,
and a minimalism of the sign.
The new production resumes in 2023 after a six-year break from the visual arts,
a period in which the artist enriched himself with life experiences,
travelling, experimenting and cultivating various interests
including traditional dances, poetry, philosophical research,
motor activities and bodily expression.
A production that takes up and develops the path already started previously,
where we move away from the figurative in the strict sense and
introduce stylized forms and pure abstractions that are the result
of feelings, references, impressions, intuitions and visions.
